Gurpreet begins her 16-year healthcare career in a BC retirement living community as a frontline team lead administrative assistant — supporting daily operations, coordinating between departments, and building deep relationships with residents and their families.

Team Lead & Coordinator
Promoted to team lead, Gurpreet begins coordinating schedules and bridging communication between departments. She sees first-hand how disconnected systems — paper schedules, phone tag, siloed records — create friction that costs staff time and impacts resident care.

Practical Nursing Program
While working in the field, Gurpreet completes her Practical Nursing program — deepening her clinical knowledge and understanding of patient care. Rather than transitioning into a purely clinical nursing path, she chooses to leverage her education to climb further into operational leadership, where she could create broader impact across entire communities.

Gurpreet joins forces with Sean Saffri — an entrepreneur with a passion for helping others and strong communication skills — to launch HealthHop.
